IHPs defrost heating blankets are designed for thawing and outdoor use. Our customers use the blankets for curing, thawing frozen soil and sand, preheating construction grounds, freeze protecting construction materials, melting snow and ice, heat maintenance in electrical telecom cables and excavation works.
The heating blankets are top-insulated and heat will radiate downwards. Designed in PVC material it is both water resistant and weatherproof design. Standardized it comes with a 2 meter power cable and Schuko plug or CEE industrial connector. Both blankets have a built-in bimetal thermostat with a fixed temperature of 70°C.
Installation is very easy to handle, just roll out the defrost blanket on the surface that you want to heat. Plug in the cord and you are on the way to a safely thawed surface. When the surface is frost-free unplug and roll the blanket and store it in a safe place.
In normal conditions, the blanket defrosts up to 30 cm of soil in 24 hours or up to 60 cm in sandy conditions.
